The Beaver Creek Regional Council, Inc. is an organization of organizations - incorporated in the State of Arizona serving and representing the Beaver Creek communities of Lake Montezuma, Rimrock, McGuireville and their surrounding areas.  Established in February 2007, the Council was charged with fostering dialogue on important issues concerning the future of the Beaver Creek community with the goal of reaching a consensus.

The Organization

The BEAVER CREEK REGIONAL COUNCIL, INC. is a non-profit corporation existing under the laws of the State of Arizona and is organized for the benefit of the Beaver Creek Communities as defined in the Verde Valley Regional Plan of 2006. Comprised of over 50 square miles in the postal zip codes of 86335 and 86342, the community is inclusive of Rimrock, McGuireville, Lower McGuireville, Beaver Creek Estates, Lake Montezuma, Beaver Hollow, Federal and Tribal lands, and all their surrounding communities.

 

The Council has the stated purpose of maintaining and enhancing rural lifestyles, natural resources, economic values, and health and safety within the unincorporated Beaver Creek areas of Yavapai Count, Arizona ("Beaver Creek Communities"). The Council maintains a positive working relationship with officials of County, State and Federal governments, with surrounding communities, and with all associations and civic and business groups located in the Beaver Creek Communities.

 

The Council is a public forum to which any person who is a resident, property owner, or business owner with a physical address within the Beaver Creek communities may bring important issues concerning the future of Beaver Creek to initiate a dialogue with the goal of reaching a consensus.

ELECTIONS: JANUARY 2011

New Council Member Policy:

Any organization which has been formed for the purposes of promoting social, educational, faith based, commercial or property interests benefiting the Communities of Beaver Creek is qualified to apply for membership to the Council.

 

New Membership Criteria:

New organization need to have a set of bylaws and publicly elect officers from the membership.

 

New organizations need to have established at least a year of involvement in the Beaver Creek Communities or be willing to be actively involved in the Council meetings and committees without a vote for one year.

 

New Organizations must represent a geographic area not already represented or represent one of the following points of view: Faith Based, Education, Business, or Civic Group.

 

Only one position each is allowed on the Council for education, faith based or business organizations.

 

New organizations if accepted for probationary status or for regular membership must pay the annual dues and select a member representative and alternate before taking a seat on the Council
