Beaver Creek Community Plan Update - VISION 2020

The Beaver Creek Community Plan committee is responsible for the review and update of the Beaver Creek Plan of 1992  and writing of the VISION 2020 plan for the community by involving area residents in Community Surveys, Visioning Workshops and through the collection of related data.  

 

 

Planning & Zoning

 The purpose of the Planning and Zoning Committee is to coordinate all matters dealing with zoning, building, and growth in the Communities of Beaver Creek. Accordingly, its goals are:

 The purpose of the Transportation Committee is to advise all matters dealing with roads and their maintenance throughout the Communities of Beaver Creek. Accordingly, its goals are:

To identify the transportation issues affecting the Communities of Beaver Creek, primarily those identified in the Verde Valley Regional Plan.To make recommendation for action by the Council based on appropriate research and discussion of the issues involved.

Water Resources

The purpose of the Water Resources Committee shall be to participate in coordinating planning for the use of water resources in the Communities of Beaver Creek. Accordingly, its goals are:

Open Space and Recreation

The purpose of the Open Space and Recreation Committee shall be to create a vision for the community's need for open space and recreation. Accordingly, its goals are:

Youth ~Family & Education Services Committee

The purpose of the Youth and Family Services Committee shall be to create a supportive environment for the community's youth and their families.  Accordingly its goals are :

Sponsored by local organizations include: MLK Day of Service; Buzzard’s Day; 4th of July Pancake Breakfast & Parade; Halloween Spooktacular; Christmas Village; Spaghetti Dinners, Book Sales; Rummage Sales; Community Clean-up and more.

The Legacy Project

The title of the Legacy Project is Echoes from the Verde Confluence, capture the rich history of the area once known as Lower Verde through the process of digital storytelling.  Digital stories are typically short vignettes, composed of narration and voice-over, combined with video footage, still photographs, and graphics.
